Through ongoing research and planning, UCS identifies the critical human needs that most impact the community and uses those findings to inform decision-makers, guide resource allocation and advance community action.

UCS's key programs and initiatives include:

• Navigating the Future, a community action plan for improving the Johnson County response to this community's most significant human service needs over the next three to five years. LINKS TO NTF PAGE.

• Partnership with United Way of Johnson County, to provide research and planning to enhance United Way’s work in Johnson County.

• The Johnson County Children’s Coordinating Council (CCC), a service network that addresses cross-system issues to better serve Johnson County’s most vulnerable children and their families. Contact Marya Schott to learn more.

• The Drug and Alcoholism Council of Johnson County (DAC), advises local governments on the allocation of funds generated by the Alcohol Tax Fund. For more information, contact Debbie Doud.
